inshore / offshore / onshore
Perhaps counterintuitively, inshore and offshore both mean basically the same thing: on the water. Inshore are waters closer to land, offshore are waters further from land. Onshore means on land.

Individual Fishing Quota. Grants the right to catch a certain amount of a specific species of fish. Expressed in pounds. Quota can be bought or sold. Halibut is a fishery operated via IFQ.
