Lived 1913-1972

At the age of 13, in 1927, he designed the Alaska Flag. A long time resident of Kodiak, originally from Chignik, he grew up in Seward at the Jesse Lee Home orphanage. The street Kodiak College is on, and one of its buildings, are named after him.
